New Delhi: Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, will receive a big honour on the occasion of Republic Day. Neeraj Chopra will be awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal. Neeraj Chopra is a subedar in the Army and after winning gold in the Tokyo Olympics, he is being given this honour. Gallantry awards have been announced for a total of 384 people.

According to the news received, gallantry awards for 384 persons have been announced by the President on the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day. It includes 12 Shaurya Chakras, 29 Param Vishisht Seva Medals, 4 Uttam Yudh Seva Medals, 53 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals, 13 Yudh Seva Medals. Apart from this, 122 Vishisht Seva Medals, 81 Sena Medals (Gallantry), 2 Vayu Sena Medals, 40 Sena Medals, 8 Naval Medals, 14 Vayu Sena Medals are included. Also, this time the tableau of Haryana has been made very special in the parade of January 26. The tableau will also showcase a life-size replica of Neeraj Chopra.

The directorate of information, public relations and language department of the same state reported this on Saturday. The 10 Olympians will be part of Haryana's tableau as Haryana is all set to showcase the might of Olympic heroes at Rajpath. By the way, Neeraj Chopra has started training in the USA as he is preparing for the busy season ahead. Neeraj will compete in the World Championship, Diamond League. Apart from this, Neeraj will try to protect his award in the 2022 Commonwealth Games and Asian Games.
