In the film industry, the year dedicated to women. We have seen many women centric film this year. Also the movies did well on box office. Neerja was the first release of 2016 and make everyone proud. Earlier, a woman oriented film was not much liked by audience but this year audience has been lavishing praise on such movies.

Neerja, Jai Gangajal, Sarbjit and now Akira are the movies lead by female Bollywood actors. Sarbjit couldn’t do well while Jai Gangajal was good. With Bollywood collection result and appreciation by audience, the results are clear cut that Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja is a clear winner and we aren’t surprised at all.

Neerja was a true story based on brave flight attendant who laid down her life for the passengers of her flight. Neerja becomes an inspiration for the directors to move on making film on the subject relating to women. It is one of the most profitable films of 2016 and that should make everyone really proud.

In a survey, the film got 64 % votes to become a winner.Akira with 18 % votes got the second place. The actress’s action and Anurag Kashyap’s direction make the film everyone's appetite last weekend. But Jai Gangaajal, Sarbjit and Nil Battey Sannata were rejected by audience and got meagre percentage of votes. Thus in total the year was not bad for women oriented film and Neerja becomes the most favourite among all.
