Begusarai: Man-eating dogs are being destroyed in Begusarai, Bihar. Twelve such dogs were shot dead in Begusarai on Friday. Sharpshooters from Patna killed the dogs. So far 10 women have lost their lives in the attack of these dogs. In the same month of December, four women lost their lives in a dog attack. After an increasing number of attacks, the administration has issued an order to kill the dogs and is eliminating them with the help of sharpshooters.

In fact, in about half a dozen panchayats of Bachwara block, dog terror was at its peak for the last 10 months and till now about 10 women have been mauled to death by dogs in the Chaur area. When people living in this area went out for work, the dogs used to attack them. These dogs also injured a dozen people by biting them. It is being said that in the month of December itself, 4 women lost their lives in the attack of man-eating dogs. Thereafter, the district administration took cognizance of the whole matter and appealed to Patna to send shooters of the Forest and Environment Department. Then on Friday, a three-member team led by shooter Shakti Kumar reached Begusarai.

The same shooters shot a dozen man-eating dogs on Friday in Bahiyar of Kadarabad, Arwa, and Bachwara villages of Bachwara block. The aim of the shooters was so accurate that even after aiming from a distance of 100 meters, the dogs were killed by the cow. Due to this the people of the village also helped the team. Seeing the team here, the people of the village chased the dogs who tried to run towards the village back to the open ground. Thereafter, the team fired at the target and the dogs were killed. This entire operation is being run under the leadership of Teghra SDO Rakesh Kumar and DSP Ravindra Mohan Prasad. SDO Rakesh Kumar told that the team of the shooter is killing the dogs. A dozen dogs have been killed so far. The operation will continue for 2-3 days. People will be given relief by killing the man-eating dog. Troubled by their terror on the death of the dogs, the people of the village heaved a sigh of relief. The people of the village said that every day there was a fear of their attack. 10 women have lost their lives in the attack of these dogs. Dozens of people were badly scratched. Now, these dogs are being killed on the orders of the district administration.
