New Delhi:'Prachanda', Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the prime minister of Nepal, is getting ready to trip India on a four-day visit from May 31 to June 3, said Indian Ministry of External Affairs. Prachanda's first international bilateral trip since taking office in December 2022 is the result of an invitation from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will be accompanied by a delegation of senior ministers and secretaries from the Nepali government.
As part of the planned itinerary, the visiting Prime Minster will have meetings with other Indian leaders, including Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and President Droupadi Murmu. Additionally, he will take part in in-depth conversations with Prime Minister Modi about a variety of aspects of the bilateral relationship between India and Nepal. Other Indian officials will also have the opportunity to speak with the prime minister of Nepal during the visit.
Prachanda intends to visit Ujjain and Indore in addition to his formal obligations in New Delhi, demonstrating his desire to expand relationships and collaboration outside of the capital. This visit supports India's "Neighbourhood First" policy and the custom of regular high-level interactions between India and Nepal.
With growing cooperation across various sectors, India and Nepal's bilateral relations have significantly improved in recent years. Their shared commitment to developing their bilateral relationship is reaffirmed by the upcoming visit. The Ministry of External Affairs emphasised the importance of this visit and stated that it will help advance the two countries' ties.
It is hoped that Prime Minister Prachanda's visit to India will encourage more cooperation and reciprocal growth across a wide range of partnership areas. His visit to India epitomises the long-standing friendship and strong cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.
