Kathmandu: Disgruntled leaders of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) met President Vidya Bhandari on Sunday morning. A delegation of top NCP leaders led by Pushpakmal Dahal (Prachanda) urged the President not to sign the controversial decision like PM OP Sharma Oli's Partition Partition Ordinance and the imposition of Emergency in the country.

These leaders assured the President that his intention is not to bring an impeachment motion against the President, this is the propaganda done by the PM camp. President Vidya Bhandari has asked these disgruntled leaders to drop the demand for PM's resignation to stop the party's division. According to sources, the President said that if you guys cooperate to give Oli continuation to the post of Prime Minister, then he can be ready to quit the party president. The President's suggestion was promptly rejected by many leaders, including Prachanda, that Oli's resignation as PM was his bottom line.

After meeting the President, Prachanda reached the Prime Minister's residence directly, where he was to have a decisive talk with PM Oli. In this conversation too, Prachanda asked the PM to consider his resignation before the standing committee meeting to be held on Monday. In response, Oli reiterated his old point of not resigning from the post of PM. On this, Prachanda came out of the meeting giving a warning about the decision of anything from the standing committee meeting.
