Filmmaker Karan Johar has decided to cast another Bollywood star Chunky Pandey's daughter Ananya opposite Tiger Shroff in Student Of The Year 2. The upcoming movie of Student Of The Year 2 is a sequel to Karan's 2012 film of the same name, which marked Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's debut movie.

The movie Student Of The Year 2 was supposed to launch Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor but that the "idea was dropped" and now she is in movie Dhadak. Ever since SOTY 2 was announced, gossip implore that Karan had finalized Janhvi for the film. But neither Sridevi nor Karan bothered to clarify. Ananya, however, it appears is the final star because Janhvi is making her debut with Karan Johar's Dhadak opposite Shahid Kapoor's half brother Ishaan Khatter.

Bollywood actor Saif and his ex-wife Amrita’s daughter Sara and Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi were also considered for Student of the Year. But the idea was dropped. Chunky Pandey’s daughter Ananya has now been chosen.  

Ananya, in fact, impressed Karan during the audition at the first go. “Karan, Tiger Shroff and director Punit Malhotra were present at the audition where Ananya was asked to read out Alia’s lines from Student Of The Year. And Ananya sailed through like a professional. Karan immediately decided to cast her," the source added. Student Of The Year 2 will be directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan's Dharma Productions. The first poster of the film, starring Tiger Shroff, was unveiled on November 19.
