Netflix support will stop on iOS 16 and iPadOS 16: Not only this, Netflix has officially confirmed that it will now stop its support on devices with iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. That is, if your iPhone or iPad cannot be updated to iOS 17 or later, then the Netflix app will not work in it. According to the report of 9to5Mac, Netflix has clearly stated that it will not be possible to run the app without updating to iOS 17 or later.

Which iPhone models will be affected?: There are several older iPhone and iPad models that will be affected by this change. These include:

iPhone 8
iPhone 8 Plus
iPhone X
1st generation iPad Pro
iPad 5 Tablet

These devices cannot be updated to iOS 17, so Netflix will no longer work on them.

What should existing users do?: Users who currently have devices running on iOS 16 can use their Netflix account on the current version. However, Netflix support on these devices may be completely discontinued in the future. This means that Netflix will not receive updates on these devices, nor will any bugs be fixed. Due to this, users may face problems in using Netflix.

This has happened with WhatsApp as well: Along with Netflix, WhatsApp has also stopped its support on devices with some old operating systems. As soon as new versions are released, the company stops its support on old Android and iOS models. For this, WhatsApp gives warning to users in advance so that they can update their devices in time.
