New Appointments: 13 Judges Sworn In Across Four High Courts

New Delhi: In a significant development, the Indian government has formally appointed a total of 13 judges to various high courts across the nation. The appointments come in accordance with the recommendations put forth by the Supreme Court Collegium led by Chief Justice of India, D.Y. Chandrachud.

Among the newly appointed judges are six distinguished advocates and seven accomplished judicial officers who have earned their positions through rigorous selection and recommendations. This move is expected to further strengthen the judiciary's composition and bring a fresh perspective to the adjudication of legal matters.

Notable among the appointments are Advocates Vinay Saraf and Vivek Jain, alongside judicial officers Rajendra Kumar Vani, Pramod Kumar Agrawal, Binod Kumar Dwivedi, Devnarayan Mishra, and Gajendra Singh, who have been granted the prestigious roles of judges in the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Their tenure will officially commence upon assuming office.

In a parallel development, Judicial Officers Rudra Prakash Mishra and Ramesh Chand Malviya have been sworn in as judges of the Patna High Court. Their journey as judges will officially begin upon taking up their respective roles.

Moreover, Advocates Sumeet Goel, Sudeepti Sharma, and Kirti Singh have received appointments as additional judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, with a two-year term starting from their respective joining dates. These appointments are expected to contribute to the efficient functioning of the court.

The Gauhati High Court has also seen a new addition in the form of Advocate Kaushik Goswami, who has been appointed as an additional judge for a two-year term, further enhancing the court's capacity to address legal matters.

These appointments signify a commitment to ensuring the fair and efficient administration of justice across the high courts, as these judges take on their new roles and responsibilities.
