Nothing, the tech company founded by Carl Pei, has officially announced the launch date for its latest smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a). Scheduled for a worldwide unveiling on March 5 at 11:30 GMT or 17:00 IST, the company's CEO, Carl Pei, has hinted at a more affordable price point compared to its predecessor, the Nothing Phone (1).

In a recent video released by the company, Pei emphasized the importance of performance and camera quality for the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a), while also highlighting the brand's focus on design innovation and software.

Expected Specifications of the Nothing Phone (2a):

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, who shared insights on X (formerly Twitter), the Nothing Phone (2a) is anticipated to be priced around $400 globally or roughly Rs. 30,000 in India. The smartphone is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the mid-range device could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ulta chipset, as seen in the Redmi Note 13 Plus. In terms of cameras, expect a dual rear setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor alongside a 50MP secondary sensor, with a 32MP front-facing shooter for selfies and video calls.

Software-wise, the Nothing Phone (2a) is likely to run on Nothing OS 2.5, based on the Android 14 operating system, offering users a customized experience. Additionally, the budget-friendly smartphone may support 45W fast charging for quick and convenient power replenishment.
