Nothing Phone (2a) is gearing up for its launch in India and other global markets on March 5. This release marks the UK-based company's most affordable smartphone debut yet, with founder Carl Pei even suggesting that the upcoming Phone 2a might be priced lower than its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 1.

Showing a clear focus on the Indian market, Pei has even changed his name on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to "Carl Bhai". Additionally, he has confirmed that the forthcoming mid-range smartphone will be manufactured in India.

With the launch just around the corner, speculations have been rife about the Phone 2a's design, pricing, processor, and camera specifications.

Expected Price and Specifications of Nothing Phone (2a):

According to tipster Yogesh Brar's post on X (formerly Twitter), the Nothing Phone (2a) is anticipated to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, previously featured in the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. Reports suggest the smartphone might be priced at approximately €349 (around Rs.30,000) for the 8GB RAM/128GB variant and €399 (around Rs.35,000) for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant.

If the speculated Rs.30,000 price tag for the Nothing Phone (2a) holds true, it could mean direct competition with popular models like the Redmi Note Pro+ and the Realme 12 Pro+.

In terms of specifications, the Phone (2a) is expected to sport a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography enthusiasts, it might feature a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, there could be a 32MP front-facing camera to fulfill selfie and video call needs.

The smartphone could operate on the company's proprietary Nothing OS 2.5, based on the latest Android 14 operating system, and support up to 45W of fast charging. However, it remains unclear whether the phone will include a 45W charger in the package.
