The new corona variant omicron swells across the country and new cases are coming up every day. The cases of Covid 19 are also on the rise at the moment. 6,984 corona cases have been registered in the country in the last 24 hours. Kerala has reported the highest number of 3,377 cases of Covid 19. According to reports, the total number of omicron cases in the country has now gone up to 83. Maharashtra is the worst on the list. Here, the edge imposed by this variant in Mumbai has been extended till December 31. Besides Maharashtra, 4 new cases of the omicron variant of coronavirus have been reported in Delhi.

40 patients associated with omicron are still admitted in the capital's hospital LNJP, out of which 38 are positive and 2 are suspected. At the same time, a new study has revealed that corona's omicron variant will spread 70 times faster than the delta, although it will not make anyone seriously ill. 5 more cases of omicron have been found in Karnataka also. The Telangana Health Department says four more persons tested positive for omicrons in Hyderabad, taking the total number of omicron cases in Telangana to7. Thus, the number of people infected with the new variant of coronavirus, Omicron, has now increased to 88 in the country.  

Maharashtra has received the highest number of cases so far. There are 32 cases. 17 cases have been reported in Rajasthan, 10 in Delhi, 5 in Kerala, 5 in Gujarat, 8 in Karnataka, 2 in Telangana, 1 each in Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Chandigarh. With this variant, the ODI series between Pakistan and West Indies has been extended. According to reports, it will now take place in June 2022. In fact, 5 West Indies players have been found corona positive.
