The intention is to address the emergence of a new wave of infections by bolstering immunity among the population.

While there has been a noticeable uptick in infections and hospital admissions attributed to the virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have emphasized that the overall infection rates are still relatively low, signaling that proactive measures can be taken to prevent a more substantial outbreak.
