New Delhi: The Indian cricket board, BCCI, has been concerned about the fitness of players Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul before two important tournaments - the 2023 Asia Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup. Recently, photos and videos of Iyer and Rahul practicing batting in Bengaluru's National Cricket Academy were shared online. Now, there's good news for fans and the Indian team selectors. A new report says that KL Rahul is getting better and has started practicing wicket-keeping for longer periods. This is important because Rahul is the main wicketkeeper for India in the absence of Rishabh Pant.

Both KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer got injured earlier this year and had to undergo surgeries. They have been working hard to recover and get back in shape at the NCA. The hope is that they will be ready to play in the 2023 Asia Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup. A source said that Rahul's fitness has been impressive while practicing and keeping wickets for a long time. He has also started batting again this week.

Shreyas Iyer is also making good progress and is getting closer to being fit to play. The BCCI will soon decide if they can play in the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup. The Indian team's squad for the Asia Cup will be announced on Monday. The tournament starts on September 2, and India's first match is against Pakistan.
