An industry-academia research partnership was launched under the guidance of IIT-Guwahati. This is launched to produce state-of-the-art faculties in area of cognitive computing, statistical machine learning and artificial intelligence. It was launched on 25^th January, 2017.

The IIT-Guwahatibased R&D unit that is the “Kovid labs” of the Kovid Group of Hyderabad will help in collaborating the faculty members and research scholars to use the resources and expertise of the institution towards the development of and advanced cognitive competing platform.

About Kovid Labs:

Kovid lab is the product of the Kovid Groups. It was inaugurated recently by the IIT Guwahati director Prof. Gauthat in the presence of Prof. SRM Prasanna Dean R&D of the institute and Global CEO of the Kovid Group Nixon Patel.The aim of launching this lab is to produce some world class products from this lab and also to develop new technologies.
