Colombo: New Zealand team is on tour to Sri Lanka these days. The Kiwi team has gone to play a Test series there. The Kiwi team won the second Test to level the two-match series 1-1. Both teams scored 60–60 in the ICC World Test Championship. After avoiding defeat in the Test series, the eyes of the Kiwi team are now on the three-match T20 series, which are going to start from September 1. But before that, the Kiwi team played a practice match with the Sri Lanka Board President's XI team. In which the New Zealand team won.

When the Kiwi team was going back to their hotel from the hilly area of Kandy, the team's bus broke down in the middle of the hills. The clutch of the bus broke. After which the team was sent back by alternate trains. The Kiwi team going through every situation in the game will hardly forget this experience in the future. After being caught in a bus in the hills, the staff along with the team were taken to the hotel by different trains.

Out of which some got out from ambulances and some from the army jeep. The New Zealand Cricket Board shared a video in which team manager Mike Sandley said how he was reaching his hotel. He said that earlier we were all on the same bus, but now all are scattered. Sandley himself is seen sitting in the back seat of the ambulance in this video. Sandley said the players were taken to the hotel by a bus, a minivan, an ambulance, an army jeep, and a police escort.
