From the Black caps it was Anna Peterson, who bowled a nerveless final over for New Zealand. She was economical in the final over, she gives away just three runs and picking two wickets. New Zealand Women clinched a thrilling victory against West Indies women’s by just one run to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match T20I series, on Tuesday (March 20). The West Indies ended up with 133 runs for 7 wickets while chasing down 135 to lose the nail-biter in New Plymouth.

In chasing of 135, Merissa Aguilleira (38 not out), the former Windies skipper and Kycia Knight (26), had taken the West Indies to the doorstep of victory with a 57-run stand for the fifth wicket. With just five runs needed off the last over, the West Indies would have backed themselves to overhaul the target.

For the home side, Sophie Devine played a breezy hand of 41 runs in just 18 balls. While, Suzie Bates cracked a fine innings of 52 runs. However, rest of the batters couldn't take advantage of the platform provided by the opening duo. The home team lost their last four wickets for just 19 runs.
