Talking about making headways with her NGO, Ruhi Hak said, “I am a networking engineer, that is my regular job, but Hope B’lit is my life’s purpose. It’s a passion for me, which my friends helped me realize and achieve. And I would like to give out this message only, NGO is not a regular job, if you don’t make it as a regular job, it would be beneficial for the NGO. Earn your bread from someplace else, because then you wouldn’t have to worry about your survival. Have a second source for living and whatever you make or earn in NGO, give it to your cause. The structure of NGO’s has gone for a toss because people end up making it their job, don’t do it. NGO is a passion and lets it be your passion”

Talking about the negativity Ruhi faced and how she made it her stepping stone of success, she added, “In India it is different, but when I went to the USA, they asked me for my qualifications and I faced a lot of negativity, but as I said, it’s my passion, so I ended up making all negativity my tagline – I teach better because I am not a teacher, I do oral care better because I am not a dentist, and I make movies better because I don’t make movies to make a living.”
Ruhi Hak even made a short documentary ‘Got Cancer” which was nominated as the Best Human-Interest Film and aired on National television in Los Angeles.
Talking about her film and its unusual name, Ruhi said, “People asked me what kind of name is that, Got Cancer, and I said they got cancer, so let’s talk about Cancer. We like to keep things simple and we make simple things, as kids are simple. We made a film on a kid and we got so much love and appreciation, of course, money as well.”
Further adding Ruhi said kids are stronger than adults and in order to survive cancer it’s important to have the support and good mental health. She said, “Kids deal with cancer a lot better than adults. See kids are simple and they are not easily scared, so the fear factor is less as compared to adults. Mental health in the case of Cancer is most important
“Cancer is an illness, just like a fever. Please don’t abandon your child; there is a lot of support out there in cities and other places. That child will get the support. My only plea to parents does not leave your child, support the kid”
