New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday raided 14 locations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in LWE related cases. According to the report, the search operation came after a book published on the life of CPI (Maoist) Central Committee member Akkiraju Hargopal alias RK was recently recovered from a printing press in Hyderabad. Akkiraju Hargopal passed away last month due to illness.

According to the report, separate teams of NIA are checking at the houses of Andhaluri Annapurna in Arilova Colony in Visakhapatnam, Ravi Sharma and Anuradha in Nagole, Padma Kumari, President, Amrula Bandhu Mitraula Sangham in Subhash Nagar, Alwal and G Kalyan Rao, Revolutionary Writers Association Leader G Kalyan Rao. A 12-member team from NIA had reached Visakhapatnam on Wednesday night and launched a search operation early on Thursday.

Earlier, NIA had filed a chargesheet on Friday against seven members of the banned CPI (Maoist) for allegedly indulging in a criminal conspiracy to wage war against a democratically elected government by planning to carry out extremist acts, including attacks on security forces last Friday.
