KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik, who remained unbeaten at 29 off eight balls, clinched the match on the final delivery, sending a flat six over the covers. His eight-ball knock included two fours and three sixes and he was adjudged Man of the Match. Moreover, congratulatory messages poured in from all corners as cricket stars took to Twitter to applaud India's resounding win.

The start of the Indian batting line-up was quite average in which Rohit Sharma's half-century was included. India were in a spot of bother during their chase of 169 when Karthik walked out to bat at number seven. Skipper Rohit Sharma had smashed a 42-ball 56 but the momentum swung Bangladesh's way after his wicket.
