New Delhi: A new trend is being seen again in the Nirbhaya case which has been going on continuously since the year 2012. When the hanging of the convicts of Nirbhaya case was postponed for the third time, there was only about 12 hours left between the culprits and their deaths. All the preparations for hanging inside Tihar were completed and the executioner Pawan also felt that now the clock would come, which he had been waiting for a long time. Officials of Delhi's Tihar Jail had made all the necessary preparations to hang the 4 accused of Nirbhaya gang rape and murder. Officials gave this information. The four convicts were to be hanged on Tuesday morning, however, on Monday evening, the Patiala House Court had stayed the execution till further orders.

According to the information received, postponing the sentence, Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana said that the mercy plea of the convict Pawan Gupta pending before the President cannot be hanged till the disposal of it. The judge said that there should be no complaint in the mind of any convict while meeting his author that the court of the country did not act impartially in allowing him to use legal remedies.
