At the same time, economies like Sri Lanka and Pakistan have reached the brink of destruction. According to the Finance Minister, in such a situation, the decision of PM Narendra Modi has been helpful in reducing the pressure. Sitharaman said in a program that the conditions that had arisen regarding crude oil, there was a need to take very strong steps at the diplomatic level and she respects this bold decision of PM Modi, in which he approved buying oil from the concessionaire Russia.
The Finance Minister said that even in the midst of challenges, India's oil import from Russia has increased from 2 percent to 12 percent now. He said that at a time when many challenges were raised simultaneously. Which included the economic condition of the country along with the crisis of the whole world. He said that in such a situation, due to the leadership of PM Modi, we could get oil from Russia on the one hand, while on the other hand, we could maintain relations with all over the world.
