The NITI Aayog has taken a two-week visit to two-wheeler sand companies to adopt battery vehicles in view of the 2025 deadline. Asked to give suggestions within. For your information, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Amitabh Kant represented the Commission. Kant later wrote on Twitter, "There was a discussion with the industry about the electric vehicle revolution in the country. India is heading to lead the revolution of electric vehicles globally.... According to Kant, apart from Kumar, the road transport and highways secretary and heavy industry secretary also attended the meeting. "In the absence of a policy or draft, it is not possible to adopt e-vehicles. Policies cannot be kept unclear. Among the world's most polluted 15 cities, 14 cities are from India. The courts in India will intervene if steps are not taken by the government and industry," he said.

 

The NITI Aayog has set a target of adopting fully battery-powered three-wheelers by 2023. It also plans to make two-wheelers up to 150cc fully battery-based by 2025. The official said India had already defaulted in adopting the electronic revolution and the semi-conductor revolution. He should not miss the opportunity of revolution in the e-vehicle sector. If established companies don't do so, startup companies will do so. This has already happened in China.
