New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that secularism, socialism and democracy are included in India's culture, no one needs to teach us a lesson. He said that no one is against any religion. We are very kind and tolerant by nature. Nobody should tell us about these values. We need to think about social equality.
Speaking at the Savarkar Sahitya Sammelan, Nitin Gadkari quoted former Sarsanghchalak Bala Saheb Deoras as saying that whenever the majority of the population in a nation comes from the Muslim community, then that nation's secularism gets pushed. Gadkari said that secularism should not mean minority appeasement. He said that the world is divided into two parts - one part belongs to the fundamentalists while the other is those who believe in democracy.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that there are many similarities between social views of Dr. Ambedkar and Veer Savarkar. The truth is that in this case, Veer Savarkar was ahead of Ambedkar, Savarkar used to have a scientific view and believed that there should be no caste.
