New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has made a big announcement in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. The Union minister said that the government is working on a plan to eliminate all toll plazas in the coming year. In the coming time, technology will help people pay the same toll as they will walk on the road. In fact, BSP MP Kunwar Danish Ali from Amroha raised the issue of having toll plazas in the municipal border on the road near Garh Mukteshwar.

Replying to this, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that a number of toll plazas were set up in the erstwhile government to put a little more cream in the contract of road projects, which are on the border of the city. It's definitely wrong and unfair. Nitin Gadkari said, if these toll plazas are to be removed, the road-making company will seek compensation. But the government has prepared a plan to "eliminate all tolls" in the country in the next one year.

Nitin Gadkari further said that scrapping the toll means scrapping the toll plaza. Now, the government is working on a technology where you will take your photo with gps from where you will climb on the highway and take photos of where you land from the highway, thus paying the same distance toll.
