But on the same day, Chief Minister (CM) Nitish Kumar passed the proposal of not implementing NRC in Bihar unanimously in the Vidhan Sabha in presence of BJP MLAs.

This masterstroke of CM Nitish Kumar snatched a big issue from the opposition. Also, while staying with the BJP, he blunted the edge of its main issue in Bihar. Bihar became the first state where a resolution against NRC was passed despite BJP being in government. Now the Opposition is calling it a victory proposal as a mere suggestion.
