PATNA: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday addressed review meeting on a Patna Boat tragedy and ordered investigation into the matter. As many 24 people had lost their lives after a over crowded boat carrying more than 40 people sunk in Ganga on saturday.

During the meeting, Kumar took a information from Tourism department officials about the kite festival held at Sabbalpur diara area in Patna on Makar Sankranti according to the official release.

In the release, it is also mentioned that "The chief minister also took stock of the situation from Disaster Management Department's Principal Secretary Pratyaya Amrit and asked him to give a detailed report".
