From a quite long the news is going viral of new 2000 note equipped with a nano chip which will help tracking of the notes even 120 meters of the ground. The news or rumour was getting circulated over the social media from last 2 months and everyone was quite surprised to see it in action.

On the evening Prime Minister has announced the ban on 500 and 1000 rupee notes, RBI governor told about the new currency notes of 500 and 2000. However, he didn't say anything about the note being equipped with the chip or anything such.

"From where did you come to know this? I haven't heard of it," Jaitley said when asked by a reporter if the new Rs. 2000 note issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has a chip to enable its tracking via satellites.

That's official confirmation for something we already told you on Wednesday, dispelling rumours floating on WhatsApp and other social media that RBI's new Rs. 2000 notes have a 'near-field GPS' or NGC chip that will be used to track these notes.

So the readers needs to be aware with the fact that everything on social networks, facebook and Whatsapp is not genuine so they should make use of their consciousness to determine the facts of any talk.
