It was a sensation back then when SIT formed by the Telangana Government has summoned Tollywood Celebrities in relation to the Drugs Case. However, the case suddenly disappeared from the media radar. From the past one week, there were reports that all the celebrities were given a clean chit in the case. Contrary to ongoing rumors that all the film celebrities were given clean chit in the drugs case, the fact is that the Exercise department has never given them a clean chit. In the latest announcement made by officials of the Excise department, they have confirmed the same.

The Excise Department officials came before the media and rubbished the rumors that they have given clean chit to anybody including the film actors. "The investigation is still on. We have not given clean chit to anyone," the department announced. The officials stated that "a total of 7 charge sheets have been filed till date in this case and five more charge sheets will be registered soon.". The authorities iterated that 'whoever is involved in the drugs case will face respective charges and get punished".
