Mumbai: Several districts of Maharashtra are reeling under rain these days. The committee members of a building in Mira-Bhainder in the Thane district have issued a fatwa here. Let me tell all of you that the housing society has put up a banner on the fatwa as it has not addressed the problem of filling water in the building here. The banner has been hung outside the building. Let me tell you that the banner says, 'Entry of politicians is forbidden here.' Tell all of you that the Shantinagar complex of Mira Road is the oldest and largest complex here. 80 flats of 4 wings of Sector 5 of Shantinagar and housing society named the Godavari have jointly banned the entry of leaders.

Due to this, it has been reported that for the last several years, these two housing complexes have been flooded with rainwater, and every time somebody is assured by a leader but nothing happens. Now the residents have taken the path of banner-shouting to show their anger. There is No Entry for leaders in the society here. Tell you that the ground floor of these buildings is flooded every year during the rainy season. The problem of rainwater logging here has increased a little more than three to four years. Here, near the lower floor, the water fills up to a height of three feet and causes dirty water through the toilet to flow upside down into the houses. Not only that, many people try to somehow drain out water using small motors. In this case, the furniture, fridges, clothes, and grains kept in the house are damaged.

Let me tell all of you that the Municipal Corporation has kept the gutter and the height of the road above the height of the building and it brings the water into the flowing complex. Here, due to the lack of timely cleaning of the drain, the drain gets jammed and the water comes out and enters the complex.
