Guwahati: The Government of Assam has taken a big step towards population control. The Assam cabinet decided on Monday i.e. on Monday that after January 1, 2021, persons with more than two children will not get any government job. This important decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held late on Monday evening. A release issued by the Public Relations Cell of the state's CM Sarbananda Sonowal said that according to the small family standard, government jobs will not be given to more than two children from January 1, 2021.

Under this new policy, this condition will not only be kept in mind while giving a government job to anyone, but by the end of the job, everyone has to keep in mind that according to this policy, their number of children should not exceed two. If the number of children is more than two, that person can also be fired from a government job. A new land policy was also approved in the cabinet meeting whereby landless people would get three bighas of agricultural land and half a bigha of land to build a house.

For information, let us tell you that on this occasion of 15th August, PM Modi had expressed concern over the increasing population from the ramparts of the Red Fort. He said that we have to think on the fast growing population for the coming generation. With this, he said that small and limited family will be better for the future of the country.
