In his statement, the Union Minister made it clear that the grain market will work as usual and the government is committed to buying every grain of the farmers from the markets. Accusing the Congress of misleading farmers in Punjab, he said that these ordinances gave the farmers the right to sell their produce at the rates of their choice, and further they could sell their produce directly from their fields.

He questioned Congress whether it is against giving such rights to farmers. He revealed that the farmers were not able to do international trade due to some difficulties and traders were earning money by selling the produce of the farmers through global markets. Describing the three ordinances as the biggest reforms, the minister said that there will be no tax on selling the produce of the farmers outside the markets, which will increase the income of the farmers. He said that a private businessman can contract with farmers of more than MSP of the crop. On this occasion, he called upon BJP workers to enroll every farmer of Punjab for Kisan Credit Facility by December by running a comprehensive outreach program.
