New Delhi: In view of the increasing coronavirus cases, some changes have been made in the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. According to these changes, there will be no Question Hour in the monsoon session. The Monsoon Session of Parliament will start on 14 September. The Lok Sabha assembly session will start at 9 am to 1 pm on the first day. After that, the meeting will be held at 3 pm to 7 pm the rest of the day. During this time there will be no private member business. 

The Rajya Sabha assembly session wil start on 14 September at 3 pm. There will be no holiday on Saturday and Sunday. According to the information received, there will be a total of 18 meetings from September 14 to October 1. Before the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the Chairman of Rajya Sabha M Venkaiah Naidu had a meeting with the Director General of the Parliament (ICMR) and the Secretaries of the Central Home, Health and Research Departments to ensure the health of the MPs.

M. Venkaiah Naidu also demanded clarification regarding health security and uninterrupted travel of Rajya Sabha members. Following the Covid-19 guidelines, a decision has been taken to have separate meeting of the two houses. In this regard, the officials say that, "In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, several preparations are being made for the first time for this session. All members will be examined and the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha meetings will be held following social distancing".
