About 35 to 40 crore tablets are being produced every month. Shah said in an interview, the amount of pills we are producing hydroxychloroquine is 10 times our requirement.

He told that only 70 percent of the total production of hydroxychloroquine in the world occurs in India. This medicine is basically used in some cases of Malaria and Arthritis. Shah said that last year, about 24 million gourds were consumed in India. According to this we have 10 times more production than required every month. Shah said, we can give hydroxychloroquine to other needy countries at this time. The government has kept a buffer stock of about ten crore tablets, which will be sufficient for about 20 lakh corona patients.
