New Delhi: A cyber thug cheated Rs 1 lakh from a lady doctor residing in Greater Noida West Gaur City area. The woman called the toll free number to search GOOGLE and book the cab. It is alleged that the thug obtained the doctor's phone number from the internet and called the woman back and asked the woman to submit the rent online.
The culprit also got an app downloaded from the woman. Subsequently, the culprit withdrew one lakh rupees from the woman's account. The police have registered a case on the woman doctor's complaint and started the investigation. The doctor has reported that she works in a private hospital in Noida and often comes to the hospital by cab.
She got a call from the cab company of GOOGLE by getting a toll free number and she was called by a man named Manish Sharma and gave a link to the app for online payment to Nisha and cheated her of Rs 1 lakh. Female doctor has lodged report in the police station. Apart from this, Noida Police is investigating the case.
