New Delhi: A police encounter was triggered by two miscreants who were snatching a chain in broad daylight on Friday in Noida, adjacent to the national capital New Delhi. A crook was injured after being shot in an encounter, which has been arrested by the police. According to information received from sources, two miscreants riding on a Pulsar bike in Sector-117, Sector-49 police station area of Noida started escaping by pulling the chain of a woman.
The team of SO of Sector-49 police station chased the miscreants, during which the police encounters them. In this, Pradeep, a resident of Jhinjhana village under Shamli district, was injured, after which UP police arrested Pradeep. Pulsar bikes used in this incident have also been seized. The bike was stolen from Burari area of Delhi on September 5.
Many chain snatching incidents have been carried out in Noida during the last few days with this bike. Sources say that the police team chasing miscreants will be awarded a cash reward of Rs 25,000. The police are currently interrogating the arrested accused and are also looking for the absconding criminals.
