Nokia 8.1 has been garnering the headlines for weeks now and HMD Global has scheduled a launch event for December 7 in Dubai. The Nokia 8.1 is likely to be revealed during the event as well. Reports said that the Nokia 8.1 could be a rebranded version of the Nokia X7.
Nokia X7 was launched in China earlier this year. In addition, the launch invite from HMD Global suggested that the Finnish manufacturer might be launching three smart phones during the event including the Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus for the international markets.
Talking to Nokia 8.1, there has been no word on the pricing of the device and if it turns out to be a rebranded version of the Nokia X7, its price could start at approximately Rs. 18,000 .
As the Nokia X7 was launched at 1699 yuan (roughly Rs. 18,100) for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version, HMD Global will be livestreaming the launch event from Dubai .

Other features of the forthcoming Nokia 8.1 might include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Nokia OZO Stereo Audio recording, 3.5mm audio jack, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C support and a 3500mAh battery with fast charging.
