New Delhi: Cold continues to wreak havoc in North India including the capital of the country. Meanwhile, some areas of Delhi have been receiving light rain since Saturday morning. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in most areas of several states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana on January 02. According to IMD, rain is expected in Rewari, Gurugram, Sonipat, Mathura, Hathras, Jind, Panipat, Karnal, Shamli, Saharanpur, Baghpat.
According to the meteorological forecast, light to moderate rain may occur in Delhi from January 2 to 5. Due to which the cold may increase further. According to the Meteorological Department, the havoc of the cold does not seem to stop at the moment. Due to western disturbances, there is a possibility of intermittent rains in Delhi, UP, Haryana, and adjoining states for the next 4-5 days. At the same time, the people of Delhi will also have to face a cold wave from 03 January.
According to the Meteorological Department, due to western disturbances, the minimum temperature of Delhi will increase from 2 to 6 January. The Meteorological Department has predicted a drop in the minimum temperature of 6-8 degrees Celsius between January 2 and 6.
