Hanoi: When the whole world is troubled by the global pandemic Coronavirus infection, there is a country bordering China where there has not been a single death due to this deadly disease. Vietnam is being praised all over the world due to Corona's escape from the havoc. The population of this country is about 9.7 crores, even after this, 328 confirmed cases of corona have been reported till Saturday.

Most of the people in Vietnam are of low-income group, while the health care here is much lower than many countries including America, South Korea. According to the World Bank, there are only 8 doctors per 10 thousand people in Vietnam, while 24 in South Korea. There was awareness in Vietnam about the Coronavirus from the very beginning. The government had announced a three-week stringent lockdown in view of the border bordering China and movement of people from one country to another. However, the lockdown was opened in late April after reviewing the situation here. It has been 40 days, but so far no local infection has been reported in the country. Schools are now being reopened in Vietnam and efforts are also being made to maintain a normal life.

In fact, it was only after the first case of Coronavirus was reported that Vietnam closed all its borders with China, anticipating the spread of the epidemic. Neither the Chinese authorities nor the World Health Organization had confirmed that the infection of the virus was being transmitted from person to person. However, this country had already started taking precautions while not taking any risk.
