Yes, South superstar Dhanush made his Bollywood debut with this film and won everyone's heart with his acting.
Success of the film 'Raanjhanaa'
The film 'Raanjhanaa' created a stir as soon as it was released. Even today people like to watch this film on OTT platforms. Sonam Kapoor played the lead role with Dhanush in the film. How was Dhanush cast?
Recently, the film's director Anand L Rai told in an interview that initially Ranbir Kapoor was the first choice for this film. In an interview to Bollywood Hungama, he said, "If I had confidence in myself, I would have made 'Tanu Weds Manu 2', but I and Himanshu Sharma (writer) felt that it was important to convey a story like 'Raanjhanaa' to the audience." Praising Ranbir, he said that he is an actor who can adapt himself to any character. But at that time Ranbir's dates were not available, so we started looking for another actor and cast Dhanush.
