The famous singer of South cinema, Vijay Prakash, has always been in the discussion about his songs, not only that, but he has also won the hearts of his fans with his sweet voice. Vijay Prakash is an Indian singer and musician from Karnataka. He has lent his voice for Hindi films like Blue, Yuvraj, Swades, Kaal, Lakshya, Matrabhumi, Tere Naam, Cheeni Kam, Raavan and Force. He has also performed in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Marathi films. He is one of the judges of the Kannada reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee Kannada. He has also done shows with Zakir Hussain. He won the Karnataka government's 'Best Playback Singer' award for the year 2016 for the song "Nammurali Chaligaladalli" from the film Beautiful Manasugalu.

He is one of the four artists to get credit for the song "Jai Ho", which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2008. In particular, he sang that part with the words "Jai Ho" which takes an extended high pitch on many occasions of the song. The song has also won a Grammy Award in the category "Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media" category.
