Patna: Despite all efforts to strictly implement the prohibition of liquor in Bihar, the Nitish government is proving to be a failure. Even after the prohibition of liquor, many incidents of death due to spurious liquor were reported in the state. At the same time, cases like illegal liquor sales keep coming to the fore. Since then, the Nitish government has been a constant target of the opposition. Now CM Nitish Kumar has issued new instructions to the officers regarding this. In which instead of catching the alcoholics, it has been asked to crack down on the liquor smugglers.

In fact, on Monday, CM Nitish Kumar held a review meeting on the prohibition of liquor implemented in the state and directed the officers that instead of cracking down on alcoholics in future, the Excise and Police Department should intensify the action against the persons involved in smuggling, storing and selling liquor. Bihar Chief Secretary Amir Subhani gave the news after the CM's review meeting on prohibition. In which he told that it has been emphasized by the CM that in the expectation of those who consume alcohol in the state, emphasis should be laid on the fact that the supply line of liquor should be cut so that people do not drink alcohol.

Chief Secretary Amir Subhani said, ''If we nab a supplier of liquor, the supply of 1000 drinkers related to him stops. It is better to cut the supply line of liquor than to run after the drinkers. If someone is caught drinking alcohol, then action will be taken, but the priority is that the supply line of liquor should be closed.'' Significantly, in the midst of the problems being faced in implementing the prohibition properly in Bihar, the government is constantly changing its strategy and in this episode, instead of catching the alcoholics, and the liquor smugglers, storage of liquor and its sellers should be cracked down. A new plan has been made.
