New Delhi: The Government of India is preparing to build a very powerful rocket force for its forces. The newest and most dangerous missile to be included in this is Prala. The purchase of more than 250 Pralay missiles has been approved for this force. It will cost Rs 7,500 crore. In December last year itself, the Ministry of Defence gave clearance to a unit of Pralay missiles for the Indian Air Force. The Pralay missile is a short-range surface-to-air missile. short-range surface-to-air missile (SR-SAM). Its range is 150 to 500 km.

According to the report, the speed in the terminal phase of the Pralay missile will be 1200 km per hour. But it can increase to reach 2000 km per hour. That is, while falling on the target from the air, its speed increases. At that point, gravity starts working. If we talk about neighbouring countries, then China has Dongfeng-12 missiles of this level. Whereas, Pakistan has Ghaznavi, M-11 (found in China), and Shaheen missiles.

The advantage of the short range is that it will destroy enemy bases near the border in a pinch. In the month of December 2021, this missile was tested twice within 24 hours. With the deployment of this missile on the border of China and Pakistan, both countries will remain within their limits. If it is fired from near the border, then it will not take much time to destroy the bunkers, cannons, military bases, or their weapon depots in China or Pakistan.
