WhatsApp has become the world's most popular multimedia messaging app today. On WhatsApp, people have started talking from personal to professional, but you will be shocked to know that this addiction of chatting on WhatsApp can also do the work of sending you to jail and force you to pay a hefty fine of up to Rs 20 lakh. According to the report, Saudi Arabia's cybercrime expert has said that if you send a red heart emoji on WhatsApp, you will be in a legal tangle.
A recent report is claiming that sending red heart emojis on WhatsApp in Saudi Arabia can be fined 1,00,000 Saudi riyals i.e. around Rs 20 lakh. This fine can also be accompanied by a jail term of two to five years.
Not only this, a report has claimed that Al Moataz Kutbi, a member of Saudi Arabia's anti-fraud association, has spoken about this in a statement that sending red heart emojis on WhatsApp means harassment. He further stated that some photos and emojis between online chats can turn into an offence of harassment, although the action will be taken against someone only if someone files a case against him.
Kutbi has also issued a statement warning people in this regard, in which special instructions have been given about the red heart emoji. According to Kutbi, harassment is also being seen as every statement, act or gesture by any person with sexual relations towards another person who touches his body or intends to do so. Which includes emojis as well. Along with the red heart emoji, the red rose emoji can also get you in trouble.
