Patna: There are signs of a new turn in the coalition's politics in Bihar. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav and his brother Tej Pratap Yadav also attended the iftar party given by the JDU on Thursday. This is the second time within a week that the leaders of the government and the opposition have met each other at the Iftar party. Due to the ceremony, Nitish greeted Tejashwi and went to the car to drop him off.
Another shocking sight at Nitish's Iftar party was seen with Tej Pratap, sitting with Jitan Ram Manjhi. In public, Tej Pratap has been continuously attacking Manjhi and has also accused him of running an agenda against the RJD. However, due to iftar, the two leaders were seen discussing among themselves.
Leaders of all parties of Bihar were seen present at the iftar party held at Haj Bhawan in Patna. Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad was present on behalf of the BJP. On the other hand, Tejashwi Yadav said that the meeting did not make political sense. He said it was at Nitish's invitation that he reached to attend the Iftar. It is worth mentioning that in the past, CM Nitish Kumar had arrived at the Iftar feast organized by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Since then, the market for political discussions in Bihar has been hot. There is speculation that the opposition party may refuse to let up Nitish Kumar from the BJP. However, the RJD leader had said, "Our party has been organizing Iftar and Makar Sankranti i.e. curd and bitten rice for more than two decades and we have always been inviting senior leaders of all parties.
