The outbreak of COVID-19 is increasing day by day across the country. And due to this, many works has been interrupted. Meanwhile, the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) may have to remove the mandatory camp as many shooters are not sure about it, focusing on the current situation of coronavirus. Shooters say that its federation should set up alternative camps. And due to the situation, the compulsory camp may have to retreat.
On Thursday, the National Rifle Association of India announced that the training camp of the Olympic core group of 34 Indian shooters will start from August 1 and it will be mandatory for everyone to participate. The camp will be organized at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in the national capital. Subsequently, the National Rifle Association of India has appointed High-Performance Manager and former Indian shooter Raunak Pandit as the nodal officer in charge for sanitation and medical protocols at the camp.
Meanwhile, a shooter said on condition of anonymity, "We have not received any official mail or information in this regard." If even after all the safety rules are in place, if someone is infected with corona, will anyone take responsibility? Travelling to Delhi is a different thing, many things have to be taken care of. They should have released the domestic calendar first and then we should have decided about the camp. We are all training at home, so this is not the issue. The same can now be clearly determined only if the situation in the corona is controlled.
