New Delhi: The security arrangements of the country's National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval have been increased. The move has been taken after a video of Reiki at Doval's office was found near Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist Hidayat-Ullah Malik. Malik, a resident of Shopian in Kashmir, was arrested on 6 February. People with knowledge of the case said that the terrorist had recited the Sardar Patel Bhavan and other important places in the capital on the orders of his Pakistan-based handler.

It is being told that the terrorist committed Reiki last year. Malik had recorded videos of Doval's office and other areas of Srinagar and sent it to his handlers in Pakistan. Security agencies have become cautious after getting information about this. Doval has been the target of terrorist groups operating from Pakistan since the Uri surgical strike in 2016 and the 2019 Balakot airstrike.

Security agencies and the Union Home Ministry have been informed about the potential threat to the NSA. Officials in Delhi and Srinagar said that during the interrogation of the terrorist, information has emerged regarding the video of Doval's office. An FIR has been lodged against Malik under Section 18 and 20 UAP Act at Gangyal Police Station in Jammu. Malik who heads the Jaish Front group, Lashkar-e-Mustafa, was arrested from Anantnag. Arms and ammunition were recovered in his possession.
