London: According to a report from Monday, nearly 13,000 Albanians who entered the UK without legitimate visas broke the terms of their immigration bail.
According to Home Office data, 12,842 Albanians released from immigration detention facilities in the 15 months prior to this March missed their scheduled reporting time to bail officials. They made up just over 25% of the 44,957 individuals who disobeyed their immigration bail during that time.
Electronic tags are used to keep an eye on many of the people released into the community. The Daily Telegraph noted on Monday that videos posted on TikTok depict Albanians removing their jewellery with wire cutters or scissors.
