Today is the birth anniversary of the popular actress Nutan. Nutan's films and songs are evergreen and she is still counted in beautiful and talented actresses of the industry. Nutan left an indelible mark on screen with her gentle and strong acting in black and white films, but she filled her life with bright colours. Whenever the films of Nutan appear on TV, fans of the cinema gets lost in her magic. Nutan was born on 4 June 1936 in Mumbai in a Marathi art-loving family, her father Kumarsen Samarth was a well-known director and poet, while her mother Shobhana Samarth was a well-known actress.

She had inherited an atmosphere of art in the family. Before going abroad, she had done some films which were not successful. At the age of 14, she made her debut with the film 'Hamari Beti', directed by her mother. Bimal Roy's 'Bandini' is like a milestone in Nutan's career. Apart from this, Nutan has done more than 70 films like 'Chhaliya', 'Devi', 'Saraswatichandra', 'Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki', 'Saudagar'. Nutan married Navy Lieutenant Commander Rajneesh in the year 1959 after reaching the top of her career. Her son Mohnish Bahl has also been active as an actor for a long time.

Apart from the films, the songs which were shot on her are still popular. Apart from this, 'Chod do aanchal jamana kya kahega', 'Sawan Ka Mahina', 'Chandan sa badan', Phool Tumhe Bheja Hai Khat Mein 'all these songs are counted in evergreen superhits. Her film 'Karma' with Dilip Kumar, which came in 1986, is also considered one of the memorable films of Bollywood. Very few people know that Nutan was also very fond of hunting. Whenever she got a chance, she fulfils her hobby. Nutan never hesitated to wear short clothes or give bold scenes. However, everything was going on according to Nutan's plan, but in the year 1990, she got breast cancer. Due to this, she died on 21 February 1991 while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
