Obesity means when we are too privileged and are carrying a BMI of 25 and upwards. If you stand straight and look down and see a slightest bulge in your tummy or you cant see your feet, congratulations you’re classified in the unfortunate category of obese population walking over this planet Says Adutiya Veer the Managing Director of the rising fitness brand called Fitness-911. He also says “Obesity is not genetic or inherent, therefore the bottomline is that it is caused technically due to the lifestyle choices we make for ourselves. Lets go over x reasons why you should start making better choices and keep this deadly disease at bay”.

1. Weaker lungs - being obese means that you’re carrying way too much mass than you should and thus making your lungs work harder than they should, making them age faster as you’re spending more energy and putting in more effort than the average joe for menial tasks, for ex - climbing stairs, if you can.

2. Weaker bones - carrying extra mass means you are putting undue stress on your skeletal system. Making your bones work harder than they should and making them carry all the extra weight of your poor choices and desires of indulgence is unfair and thus increasing chances for knee and joint ailments for your future self.

3. Muscular system - being obese means you’re blessed with extra fat, hardly leaving any room for anymore muscles in your body and thus too little support for your bones and thus making them weaker and brittle.

4. Hormones - obesity does not classify on the basis of gender. In both men and women it causes fertility issues and increases the risk of diseases related to hormones like the thyroid, pcos etc.

5. Carcinogenic - since obese people carry all the extra useless fat, their bodies are devoid of nutrition and thus carcinogens are increased in their bodies putting them at a higher risk of cancer. Breast cancer in obese women is not a rare occurence anymore.

6. Fatty liver - obesity leads to a buildup of fat cells around the liver, causing a deadly condition of fatty liver which impairs with your liver function, thus creating digestive problems, making food go rotten inside your body. And it is common knowledge food rotting inside or outside our bodies is equally harmful.

7. Chronic diseases - diseases with which you have to live with your whole life are called chronic diseases. To list a few would be type 2 diabetes, pcos, hypertension, heart ailments etc. why make ourselves go through something so severe just because we made some bad food choices during a phase of our life.

8. Kidneys - do you know how costly these things are in the medical market? Let alone the black market for the same. Obesity is seen as a direct cause and effect mechanism for major kidney failure these days. Poor dietary choices and improper excretory system functioning will leave getting dialysis permanently to even survive.

9. Heart diseases - this can't be stressed on enough as obesity makes plague being deposited in and around arteries thus making them smaller in size and being a major reason for heart strokes. By-pass surgeries are no fun either.

10. Sleep apnea - since already we have discussed how obesity causes contraction in arteries, it leads to a serious condition called the ‘sleep apnea’. In this condition breathing stops for periods of time thus making no oxygen to reach inside your bloodstream and thus lesser oxygen by the passing minute to your organs and brain, and everyone knows better what will happen if oxygen does not reach the major organs of our body.
