Renowned Oriya actor and Jatra artist Raimohan Parida was found hanging at his Prachi Vihar residence in Bhubaneswar on Friday. In the initial investigation, it has been found to hear that 58-year-old Parida has committed suicide. On receiving the news, Mancheshwar police officials reached his house and the body has been confiscated. The body has been sent to Rajdhani Hospital for post-mortem. The reason behind the suicide is still not clear.

The news of Raimohan's untimely death has shocked the entire Odia movie world. Raimohan Parida is survived by his wife and two daughters. One daughter got married while he was living with wife and another daughter in a flat in Prachi Vihar. Raimohan Parida was a resident of Keonjhar district. He was born on 10 July 1963 and has also acted in more than 100 Oriya and Bengali movies.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed grief: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has also condoled his death. Patnaik tweeted, "Saddened to learn about the untimely demise of Raimohan Parida. His absence is always going to be felt in various fields of art, from drama to jatra and movie. He is going to be remembered for his impeccable acting. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families.
